Fascinating
to see the paintings evolve. You sure implement a lot of changes.
I viewed 'Insulation' and found it interesting to see the color
shifts from cool to warm and back to cool. Also the changes made
to the lower right hand corner. I am curious to know how long
it takes you to work through a composition like this? The work
looks great on your web site. MK

Thank you. Most paintings are in process for at least a year.
There is a lot of both physical and conceptual layering so the
incubation time, the time one is set aside while I work on others,
is valid as well.
By showing
the process I am trying to reveal that the paintings are about
an active emergent relationship with the material. It is about
working with the process that includes ideas, body motion, visual
response—it’s like an experiment in non-linear brain/body
functionality using myself as specimen. Pictures are a record
(or result) of process or the residue of an experience. The transitions
happen as part of the progression. |

Thank You. OK. |

This
is really fascinating. I enjoyed watching the paintings develop.
It reminded me of 5th year in your studio when I saw them weekly
almost. MA |
You
are one of the few who have seen the process in real space. |

very
nice! its great to see the development of each painting, some stages
have big changes, some are very subtle... one of the questions on
your in the q&a sections asks if anyone has done this before.
i can think of at least one example (but not as an internet slideshow):
matisse photographed some 20 something stages
of his "pink nude". keep up the good work!
